Rassasy is a boutique and cozy Restaurant, Lounge & Bar with an intimate wine & cocktail setting from the 1920's.

Based in the centre of Whangamata, Rassasy provides a warm welcoming ambiance, cozy dining room with an elegant lounge and excellent food and friendly service.

It is the perfect place to stop in for a bite to eat, a bootleggers beer or choose from our barman’s cocktails selection. Any occasion is reason enough.

Rassasy is an old English word that disappeared at the end of the 15th Century meaning to satiate another’s hunger with a great meal. We endeavor to have you leaving with “Rassasy” or to be “Rassasied”.

We take time to build great relationships with our suppliers, local and afar. Our chefs create dishes using as much local and free range produce as possible.

This alligns wth our values of supporting local, eating nourishing fresh foods and doing our bit for the environment.
